Designed by a fisherman, for fishermen.

The BR was invented by a retired sporting goods developer and fisherman residing in Apopka, Florida. As a young man casting live baits (usually shrimp) from both boats and shore, he had always desired a light tackle popping cork that would cast further and pop better and retrieve easier than those commercially available.

And so it was, after having been retired for 15 years (and after receiving reluctant permission from his wife) that the development of the BR finally began.

Fortunately, many of his old tool and die maker friends and professional fishing buddies were still around and were a great help in tool fabrication and product testing.

Tested and refined until everything was “dialed in.”

Many prototypes and processes were tested and refined until everything was “dialed in” before launch of Baitrocket.com in September of 2026.

Not only was the Bait Rocket popping cork a huge success with all that tried one, the Bait Rocket slip float has turned out to be very popular with fresh water anglers as well.
